Business Administration focuses on a systemic, process-oriented understanding of management, organization and environment. Students learn about the main tasks and value creation of management. Lectures, exercises and independent studies are based on the St.Gallen Management Model (SGMM), which serves as a conceptual frame of reference that allows us to understand the most important relationships between organization, environment and management. The SGMM helps meaningfully classify modern management challenges in their complex historical and situational embeddedness.
Particular focus is placed in the first year on market- and customer-oriented aspects of management (Autumn and Spring Semester) and the basics of financial management and accounting (Spring Semester).
